                                                                                                                                            서로에게 가까이 다가가지 않기 위해 
                                                                                                                                            얼마나 애를 쓰는 걸까 
                                                                                                                                            그러나 굳이 바람이 불지 않아도 
                                                                                                                                            그 가지와 뿌리는 은밀히 만나고 
                                                                                                                                            눈을 감지 않아도 
                                                                                                                                            그 머리는 서로의 어깨에 기대어 있다 


                                                                                                                                            나무는 
                                                                                                                                            서로의 앞에서 흔들리지 않기 위해 
                                                                                                                                            얼마나 애를 쓰는 걸까 
                                                                                                                                            그러나 굳이 누가 와서 흔들지 않아도 
                                                                                                                                            그 그리움은 저의 잎을 흔들고 
                                                                                                                                            몸이 아프지 않아도 
                                                                                                                                            그 생각은 서로에게 향해 있다 


                                                                                                                                            나무는 저 혼자 서 있기 위해 
                                                                                                                                            얼마나 애를 쓰는 걸까 
                                                                                                                                            세상의 모든 새들이 날아와 나무에 앉을 
                                                                                                                                            그 빛과 
                                                                                                                                            그 어둠으로 
                                                                                                                                            저 혼자 깊어지기 위해 나무는 
                                                                                                                                            얼마나 애를 쓰는 걸까
